General Purpose

Responsible for the repair and preventive maintenance of injection molds which are used in the manufacturing process to make plastic caps and closures.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance on injection molds.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, design schematics, and CAD drawings.
  • Set up machine tools such as drills, lathes, grinders, and milling machines.
  • Changeover mold components in order to produce a different part from the same mold base.
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve issues with injection molds.
  • Support and adhere to all system procedures and company policies/procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow all safety regulations.
  • Report all accidents or near misses.
  • Adheres to all environmental and quality standards.
  • Any other tasks that may be necessary to meet the production schedule in a safe and efficient manner.

Position Differentiation by Level

Level 1 - Pay Range: $26.00 - $29.00

Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years experience in tool and die in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge/Skills/Duties:

  • Good hand to eye coordination
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Basic computer, reading, math, and comprehension skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and work procedures
  • Must be a team player

Level 2 - Pay Range: $29.00 - $32.00

Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5+ years experience in tool and die in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge/Skills/Duties:

  • Same as level 1
  • Experience collecting data and drafting reports

Level 3 - Pay Range: $32.00 - $35.00

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 10+ years experience in tool and die in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge/Skills/Duties:

  • Same as level 2
